The Area Market Development Manager is expected to develop and maintain a forward-looking Area sales strategy that aligns with the national business plan / sales strategy.
The Area Market Development Manager provides direction to enable the CSO members to implement and execute sales demand strategies.
The Area Market Development Manager is responsible for revenue growth within their assigned area
The Area Market Development Manager provides CSO members with sufficient support to achieve or exceed the Area sales forecasts.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to analyze & utilize Optimizer & Analyzer to effectively & efficiently run/grow their area business and support CSO members.
The Area Market Development Manager is responsible to manage the KOL / Faculty relationships within the Area.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to collaborate with the Ethicon management team & business partners to effectively execute the organization’s strategies and assist customer needs.
The Area Market Development Manager is responsible for all National Society Meetings and Advisory meetings to support education focused on new evidence and services as well as drive market awareness.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to collaborate with Marketing & Healthcare Economics to develop and execute area programs and tactics designed to raise awareness to LINX and educate physicians including: gastroenterologists, otolaryngologists, and primary care physicians.
The Area Market Development Manager is responsible for the development and execution of area outreach programs and tactics targeted to patients and HCPs, including: local and regional society meeting exhibits and symposia, peer-to-peer events (dinner programs, grand rounds, webinars), targeted direct mail campaigns, referring practice and hospital staff education and targeted sales calls.
The Area Market Development Manager is responsible to develop & execute the National & Area Professional Education strategy & programs to support the overall corporate business plan.
The Area Market Development Manager will partner with Healthcare Economics to support regional and local payor provider strategies to target and drive access.
The Area Market Development Manager will be the field trainer for new CSO members to support product, procedure and service line education.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to support new or existing targeted centers that are focused on their Comprehensive GERD Program / Service Line.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to monitor existing contracts and initiate needed adjustments or new agreements.
The Area Market Development Manager is expected to follow all Healthcare Compliance / Legal guidelines & policies
Job Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years professional selling experience with 2 or more years of Medical Device Sales, surgical case coverage and selling in surgery
Experience with GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease), bariatric, thoracic, colorectal, general surgery and/or GYN procedures
Ability to travel up to 50% – 60%
Preferred:
Experience managing a team
Strong leadership skills with experience coaching or mentoring others
Strong proven medical device sales track record with documented growth and achievements
Demonstrated success in previous sales role; indicating a high level of sales performance, influence and selling skills
Market development or product launch experience
Strong business acumen, including C-Suite customer experience, and management of 4 or more stakeholders
