Job Description

This position is responsible for the direct management of the Digital Technology Specialist (DTS) position in two zones.  Ensures revenue growth of the DI/DR and HT business through direct management, in collaboration with the local RMs, of the DTS.  Establishes effective communication cadence with appropriate managers across the territory to ensure success. Leads sales within the Multisite business in collaboration with the Strategic Account Management team.  Provides leadership and training of direct reports in assigned geographic area.  Acts as a conduit to encourage all individuals on the local regional teams to be engaged in the success of dental technology sales in their area. Works to eliminate any barriers to success by playing a key role in streamlining and enhancing our processes.  Effectively executes sales strategies and key initiatives; leads team members to exceed sales objectives; and maximizes potential of the team to deliver sales results.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 


Manages an assigned team of DTSs in order to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives as well as attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

  • Accurately forecasts monthly, quarterly and annual revenue.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all technology categories.
  • Provides monthly, quarterly and annual results of each Representative’s productivity.
  • Monitors all expenses, follows company travel and expense guidelines.
  • Keeps abreast of competitive activity.


Leads and develops DTS in geographic area.

  • Manages activities of Representatives (i.e. interview, train, coach, motivate, recommend termination as necessary, etc.).
  • Consistently cultivates the team through one-on-one coaching calls, co-travel, action plans and team conference calls.
  • Routinely communicates (at least weekly) with each Representative.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of each Representative’s abilities, effectiveness, etc.
  • Gathers appropriate information and assist in providing solutions to end user problems arising in that geographic area.


Establish and manage effective sales related programs and trade shows.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of all company sponsored sales initiatives including referral programs open houses, sales contests and other incentives.
  • Effectively leads and manages activity at all attended trade shows (i.e. organization, sales strategy, order submission, reporting, promotion communication).
  • Assists in the development and execution of National Sales Meeting.
  • Assists Representatives in identifying and nurturing high profile doctors in the area as well as rolling target account lists.


Cultivates positive relationships with HSD counterparts and implements a consistent communication process with the Zone and Regional Managers within the area.

  • Meets face to face with Zone Managers and Regional Managers on a regular basis.
  • Attends BDM meetings on a consistent basis and delivers tailored messages to each region on key impact areas.
  • Communicates effectively with HSD to maximize sales efforts in the area.


Job Requirements

10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.

                                                                                                                         

PREFERRED EDUCATION: 


Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: 

  • Valid driver's license required
  • This position will be working in the field or remote environment, utilizing typical office equipment.  May be required to travel up to 40% of the time. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
