ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned

  • As an Associate Account Executive, you will sell a diverse line of medical products to hospitals, surgery centers, distributors, kit packers, manufacturers and international customers. You will call on current and prospective customers in your assigned customer portfolio. 

  • Via telephone, email and in-person, you will represent Aspen Surgical as an experienced and fully qualified sales professional, partnering with Aspen Account Executives, Sales Directors, Corporate Accounts Managers, and International Sales Managers to offer solutions to our customers.
  • Working closely with your Manager and Sales Leadership, drive sales growth within your specified geography in order to exceed personal sales quota.
  • Occasionally travel to meet customers in the Operating Room setting in order to conduct product presentations and/or product evaluations. 
  • Prepare reports on sales activities.
  • Implement and optimize customer contracts working with Aspen sales leadership.
  • Perform as a valued, expert consultant to customers, assisting them to achieve their goals and meeting their needs with the Aspen product portfolio.
  • Cold call surgery centers, hospitals, distributors, kit packers and manufacturers to increase sales.
  • Manage positive relations with clients.
  • Communicate technical information related to Aspen products.
  • Analyze customer product usage and target sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Make dynamic business presentations.
  • Sell our full line of medical products offered to new or existing Aspen customers.
  • Utilize internal resources, including customer service, product managers, finance team, sales operations, quality team and operations team, to effectively present Aspen products to customers.
  • The Associate Account Executive position is first and foremost a sales generating role.  Medical sales professional development is a key component to the position.  Based on superior sales performance and other objective and subjective factors, this role may lead to an opportunity to earn a position in a US Field Sales, Corporate Accounts, or International Sales role. The geography and timing will vary.  Promotion to another sales role is NOT guaranteed.

  • Willingness and ability to relocate is a requirement for this Associate Account Executive position.



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Human Relations, or Medical Field

  • Entry level position; however, 1-3 years related experience and/or training with a proven track record is preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License with no prior suspensions or revocations

  • Ability for 50% travel via car or plane

  • Operate a computer effectively and efficiently, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Familiarity with surgery procedures and medical terminology is preferred

  • Ability to speak in front of groups of people to deliver dynamic presentations

  • Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred

  • Must have excellent communication skills to work with customers

  • Creativity is necessary to help identify sales opportunities

  • Must work well independently and take charge of situations

  • Energetic, outgoing and excited about growing company sales and increasing market share

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Driving, lifting product cartons for sampling purposes (weight is in accordance with Aspen packaging guidelines), walking, standing at customer meetings / tradeshows, sitting during office days to complete tasks, trade show booth creation / breakdown, etc
