Job Description

This person will be responsible for the retention and profitability of existing accounts within an assigned territory as well as prospecting new accounts focusing on Orthotics within the Orthotics & Prosthetics channel. The key objectives will be territory growth with set annual sales targets achieved through customer visits, product demonstrations, product training to healthcare professionals in a clinical or institutional setting.

Goals, Responsibilities and Main Tasks

· Become intimately familiar with identified products within the Ottobock Orthotic portfolio.

· Completes intensive training to achieve technical proficiency on Ottobock products and services as necessary and available.

· Participates with sales leadership and marketing in development of annual sales coverage plan for the assigned territory ensuring sales plans and activities align with marketing and brand strategies; execute “go-to-market” strategy with targeted customer segments.

· Promotes the use of orthotics to healthcare professionals in an assigned territory through customer visits, the dissemination of sales literature and product demonstrations.

· Achieves specific monthly, quarterly and annual performance goals regarding sales calls; sales targets and territory growth.

· Maintains consistent and open communication with USHC businesses.

· Conducts training and in-service presentations to Healthcare professionals in either a clinical or an institutional setting on orthotics. Emphasis is the physician channel.

· Partners with Orthotic Specialists to educate healthcare professionals on Ottobock orthotics.

· Uses tools provided to analyze customer information for the purpose of identifying/monitoring trends, competitor data, and sales opportunities.

· Plans, coordinates and participates in local and regional industry meetings and trade shows.

· Uses communication tools including email and voicemail on a daily basis with a 24-hour response time.

· Maintains demo product data base for tracking purposes.

· Meets assigned deadlines and complete all assigned tasks; Completes and submit customer paperwork such as sales contracts; credit terms and warranties as required; Completes assigned tasks by specified deadlines, including but not limited to, monthly reports, expense accounts and all other reports requested by the management team. Maintains all company assets and product consignment in facilities.

· Recognizes opportunities to assist customers and direct them to qualified Ottobock personnel to properly trouble-shoot equipment and diagnose problems.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in health sciences, business management, or other related field

· Min. 3 years commission based sales experience conducting sales calls on medical professionals in both clinical and institutional settings

· Min. 2 years bracing experience

· Experience in organizing and facilitating customer training sessions and workshop seminars.

· Excellent verbal – written – presentation skills

· Strong organizational skills - ability to work independently.

· Excellent relationship management skills.

· Able to move and lift up to 50 pounds in demo products.

· Strong PC skills – Goldmine, MS Office, Outlook

· Valid provincial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
